Scrap Block #22

What you need:

Color fabric:

  • 8 - 1 5/8" x 5" strips in 8 different prints
  • 2 - 3 5/8" squares
White fabric:
  • 4 - 2 3/3" squares
  • 2 - 3 5/8" squares

Make the half square triangles (HST). Lay one 3 5/8" color fabric square on a 3 5/8" white fabric square right sides together. Mark a diagonal line across the squares. Sew 1/4" away from both sides of the line, then cut along the line. Press open and trim to measure 2 3/4" square.

Repeat this for the remaining 3 5/8" squares so that you have 4 HSTs. Sew together the 1 5/8" x 5" strips in pairs.

Assemble the block.

27 blocks to go!
