What you need:

Color fabric:

• 8 - 3 5/8" squares
• 1 - 5" square

White fabric:

• 4 - 3 5/8" squares

 Make the half square triangles (HST). Lay one white 3 5/8" square on a color 3 5/8" square right sides together. Mark a diagonal line along the squares, then sew 1/4" away from both sides of the line. Trim along the line. Press open and trim to measure 2 3/4" square.

Repeat this with the remaining 3 5/8" squares so you have 8 - color/white HSTs and 4 - color/color HSTs.

Assemble the block.
