Scrap Block #42

What you need:

Color fabric:

• 2 - 4 3/8" squares
• 2 - 2" x 8"
• 1 - 2" x 6 1/2"
• 1 - 2" x 9 1/2"

White fabric:

• 2 - 4 3/8" squares

Make the half square triangles (HST). Lay one white fabric 4 3/8" square on a color fabric 4 3/8" square. Mark a diagonal line along the squares, then sew 1/4" away from both sides of the line. Cut along the line. Press open and trim to measure 3 1/2" square.

Repeat this with the remaining pair of 4 3/8" squares so that you have 4 HSTs.

Assemble the block.
