Scrap Block #49

What you need:

Color fabric:

• 3 - 4 3/8" squares
• 6 - 2" squares

White fabric:

• 3 - 4 3/8" squares
• 6 - 2" squares

Sew together the 2" squares in sets of 4 to make 3 separate squares, 2 white fabric and 2 color fabric per square.

Make the half square triangles (HST). Lay 1 - 4 3/8" white fabric square on a color fabric square right sides together. Mark a line along the squares, then sew 1/4" away from both sides of the line. Cut along the line. Press open and trim to measure 3 1/2" square.

Repeat this with the remaining 2 pairs of 4 3/8" squares to make a total of 6 HSTs.

Assemble the block.
