Scrap Block #7

The first row is finished! I love how it is turning out!

This next block is pretty simple.

What you need:

Center square:

2-2" squares of white fabric
2-2" squares of color fabric

HSTs:

4-4" squares of white fabric*
4-4" squares of color fabric*

*If you want more room for trimming, cut your squares to measure 4.375".

Make the center square by sewing together the 2 white squares to the 2 color squares.

Make the HSTs.

Put the squares right sides together in pairs.

Line them up perfectly. I offset mine to show how they were together.
Mark a line down the center of each square. Sew .25" from the line on each side.

Cut in half down the middle.

Trim to measure 3.5", then press open.

Assemble the block.

I cut the dog ears of my HSTs as I sew the squares together.
