What you need:
Color fabric:
- 3 - 4 3/8" squares
- 16 - 2" squares
Whit fabric:
- 3 - 4 3/8" squares
Sew together the 2" squares in sets of 4 to make 4 separate blocks.
Make the half squares triangles (HST). Lay one 4 3/8" white square on a 4 3/8" color fabric square. Mark a diagonal line along the squares, then sew 1/4" away from both sides of the line. Cut along the line. Press open and trim to measure 3 1/2" square.
Repeat this with the remaining 4 3/8" squares so you have 6 HSTs.
You will only need 5 of these HSTs for the block. Save the extra one for your scrap stash!
Assemble the block.
Less than 1 row left!
