Scrap Block #48

What you need:

Color fabric:

• 1 - 4 3/8" square
• 4 - 3 1/2" squares
• 2 - 2" squares

White fabric:

• 2 - 3 1/2" squares
• 2 - 2" squares
• 1 - 4 3/8" square

Make the half square triangles (HST). Lay one white 4 3/8" square on a color fabric 4 3/8" square. Mark a diagonal line along the squares, then sew 1/4" away from both sides of the line. Cut along the line. Press open and trim to measure 3 1/2" squares. You should have 2 HSTs.

Sew together the 2" squares to make the center square.

Assemble the block.
