What you need:
Color fabric:
- 2 - 4 3/8" squares
- 2 - 2" x 6 1/2" strips
- 4 - 2" squares
White fabric:
- 2 - 4 3/8" squares
- 2 - 2" x 6 1/2" squares
Make the half square triangles (HST). Lay a white 4 3/8" square on top of a color 4 3/8" square. Mark a diagonal line along the squares, then sew 1/4" away from both sides of the line. Cut along the line. Press open and trim to measure 3 1/2" square.
Repeat this with the remaining pair of 4 3/8" squares so you have a total of 4 HSTs.
Sew together the 2" squares to make the four patch block.
Sew together the 2" x 6 1/2" strips in pairs, one white fabric strip and one color fabric strip per pair.
Assemble the block.
15 blocks to go!
