What you need:

Color fabric:

• 12 - 1 1/2" x 3 1/2" rectangles
• 4 - 2 1/2" squares
• 9 - 1 1/2" squares

White fabric:

• 4 - 1 1/2" x 3 1/2" rectangles
• 4 - 1 1/2" squares
• 8 - 1 1/2" x 2 1/2" rectangles

Sew together the 12 - 1 1/2" x 3 1/2" rectangles in sets of 3.

Make the corner squares. Sew together 1 - 2 1/2" square, 1 - 1 1/2" square, and 2 - 1 1/2" x 2 1/2" rectangles per square.

Sew together the remaining 1 1/2" squares to make the nine patch block.

Assemble the block.
