Scrap Block #11

Most of my scrap blocks have been made of several little pieces, so I tried to keep this one simple to balance the quilt.

White fabric:

4-3 1/2" squares
2-4 3/8" squares

Color fabric:

1-3 1/2" square
2-4 3/8" squares

Yes, I am using one square of Christmas puppy fabric. Hey, it's a scrap quilt. :)

Make the half square triangles (HST).

Lay each of the white fabric 4 3/8" squares on top of the other 4 3/8" squares right sides together. Mark a line across each of the squares. Sew 1/4" from both sides of the line. Cut along the line.

Press open your HSTs and trim to measure 3 1/2" square. Assemble the block.

38 blocks to go! 3 more until I can sew together the first two rows.
