This table runner is made from farbic scraps from my purple quilt. The pattern can be found here. I quilted leaves all over and outlined the center square and the little squares. The center square is my favorite part since the fabric has a metallic silver overlay.
This is a great pattern for scraps. It is also fun to play with using different colors for the long and short strips of fabric. I wanted mine to look like it was fading away, so I used a dark purple, then a light purple. I made the dark green go into the light purple before starting the light green to help the fading affect. Since it was from scraps, I didn't have enough light green to put 4 small strips on each end, so I had to substitute with more dark green.
For the back I used a purple and white fabric from the Zoey Wisteria collection by Eleanor Burns for Benartex. It's a nice and bright spring decoration. The pieced side is full color, while the other side is has more white space and is very elegant.
love it. Thanks!
